Convert this into a readable format

I have made a form that allows a user to pick which days and what time they can work durning the week. To see a working sample go to www.bates.edu/~rkolbe/ms_ver/index_ms.php and it is at the bottom of the page.

What I did is, each check box has its own value such as mon7am which represents that they are free to work on Monday at 7am. How could I go about converting mon7am into Monday 7am? I would need a somewhat simple code so that I can do it for the other days and time combos. Thanks all for the help.

you could parse the date through something like this..

$date = str_replace("mon7am", "Monday 7am", $date);

but you would have to make a parse for every combo!

or of course just replace the values of the form fields with readable values!

wouldnt the spaces effect it somehow??? If not, Ill just change it to the full string.

No you should be ok with spaces..
