saving email attachments

i have coded a "pop3-class" in php which allows me to perform a row of actions to send and recieve email.

Viewing emails, filtering the headers, showing subject of the mail etc works, BUT after i had spend time to finish this class, i realized that i have not implemented a functionalty so that attachments in the email can be saved or viewed. So my q for you guys out there is, how can i extract the attachments out of that mail and let php save it as a file ?

maybe you just give me a hint where to look or if its simple just give me advice how to fix this problem ....

that would be extremely hard to do, cos you would have to get the file type for the headers and everything

Basically, you'll be processing mulipart-mime files and re-encoding images etc 🙂
