converting upper case to lower case

Hi,

Ive built a script that allows users to subscribe to my mailing list... The problem I have is when someone enters an email with caps in it it doesn't display alphabeticaly.

What I want to do is check and replace any upper case letters for lower case letters.

the variable is $email

so I imagine I would need to do some kind of ereg_replace or summin.

Please help...

Take a look at all the sring functions on
www.php.net or www.phpbuilder.com

some of them that might help u wud be
strtolower($email)
strtoupper($email)

there are lotta functions already existing. u just have to make use of 'em

you know it matey..... you'd have to be some kind of serious php nut to know em all!!! Cheers anyway ill have a go at that!

strtolower($email);

thats all
