Sort List By A Calculation's Result?

Help!

Let's say I have a MySQL database with money1 and money2 as columns. So I use PHP to pull out all the data, then use PHP to add $money1 and $money2 to equal $money3 for each entry.

How do I have it sort the list by $money3? I can easily sort by $money1 and $money2 which are static entries in the database. If I do a sort by $money3 it doesn't work!

Thanks for your help! This issue keeps coming up and I need to figure it out before it drives me crazy.

You could try this one:

SELECT money1, money2, money1+money2 as money3 FROM table ORDER by 3

or

SELECT money1, money2, money1+money2 as money3 FROM table ORDER by money3
