I am facing problem with fopen. I want to open a file created by some other owner in linux. my perl scripts easily read those files but my php script gives PERMISSION DENIED problem and doesn't open that files for any mode. I tried chmod and chown commands for ownership chaging and permission changing but that also failed. I know this error is due to the ownership but i don't have any solution in my mind as i am fresh on linux plattform. plz guide me in this regardand also give me solution??
Who owns the files? It should be the Apache user.
these files have owner vpopmail. Actually, my every new mail is stored in new file and its owner is vpopmail. every new file is created by this user(qmail package for virtual domains) so plz guide me further. thnx in advance
