mysql_fetch_array AND general array q?

howdy folks, what id like to do is simply build an array based on a mysql query. That much i have covered,

however once i have the array created i would like to simply goto ONE row specified by a variable and then output each of the cells to individual variables. ill try to map out what im doing the best i can...

$row = mysql_fetch_array ($result)

$thevariablecontainingtherownumber[$row]

$cellvariable1 = [cell1of$thevariablecontainingtherownumber]
$cellvariable2 = [cell2of$thevariablecontainingtherownumber]
$cellvariable2 = [cell3of$thevariablecontainingtherownumber]
$cellvariable2 = [cell4of$thevariablecontainingtherownumber]

not sure if my example here helps or just makes things more confussing. Well any help appricated!

I read your post many times but couldnt understand what your goal was. Well, maybe its my sucky english then 🙂

Ok, to the point. Dont use $cellvariable1,2,3... instead make array of it like shown below. Sorry, I cant help more because I dont understand your problem...

while ($row=mysql_fetch_array($result))
{
$cellvariable[] = $row["id"];
}
