...redirecting you to whateva.html ???

I am fairly new to php. I need to know how to script a redirect page based on if statements. Much like a js onload script with delay time if possible. Is this possible ???

here is what code i am looking at.. some of it anyway.....

if ($name == "") {
die("<br><br>

<p><font size='2'><strong>Please enter your name!</strong></font></p>

<p><strong><font size='2'>You will be redirected to your previous page in

Add this somewhere in the head section of your page:

if (!$name) {
echo "<meta http-equiv=\"Refresh\"
content=\"5;URL=$url\">";
}

Change the number 5 to the number of seconds you want to wait before redirecting.

By the way, you should probably use

if (!$name) {
...rather than...
if ($name == "") {
