Email text formatting question

Hi,

I have the user enter the body of the email in a textarea and if they enter something like it's, it shows up as it\'s in the email. How do I get rid of the \?

Wow, I just came here to ask that same question. I tried to use

ereg_replace("\'", ''', $string)

but it gave me a parse error at the \

Just use stripslashes(). It's your friend. Take it home.
