Session problem

hi i am tring to use session
and i am placing the session_start() at the top of the page and then session_register($id); under it.but when i run the page it give me an error about php4dt.dll problem and some kinda "The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request."

any idea

have to made the folder named as session in htdocs folder of apache.then ur session will be complete.
