dialog boxes

I'm kind of new to php and I'm trying to set up a dialog box that pops up a message to validate my forms. Is this possible in PHP or do I have to do use Javascript or something else? If it is possible some code would be much appreciated.... Thanks in advance.

It you want the popup before the form is posted you should use Javascript on the browser. If you want a response after the form is posted you should use php.
