variables won't pass from page to page

Okay heres the deal. I just switched from a pc running xp to a brand new mac running os x. I love it, it's great...but... I have mysql 4.0, php 4.1.2 and apache 1.3.9 running. All of my sites that required php to pass variables from page to page won't work now. They worked fine on my pc. I figure it may be a configuration problem with my php.ini file but I haven't been able to work it out.

If anyone has any ideas please enlighten me.

set globals on on php.ini that should fix it
