send a value

if i send a value by a html link, the value show in the locabar .. ye si can use form to send value.. but i want to know is ther any way to send value by html link instead of form a value but that will not show the value in the location bar.

unless you use a frameset but thats a can of worms - if you use a frameset you will only get the location of the frameset in the address bar. the page name is still available by right-clicking on the page and will show in the status bar while the page is loading.

designing the site to use frames is a bit drastic though
