open_basedir restriction in effect.
how do i overcome this.
am uploading some banners to the server and storing in a directory in the server.

if you aren't in direct physical control of those servers, chances are you cannot. if you're using a hosting company, complain to them about it. if you can change the php.ini

also your vhost conf file in apache will open it up for you
