How to output GIF image

How do I output a transperant 1*1 GIF image without use of any libraries?

I'm working on a stats system which 3rd party users can place on their site in a IMG tag, like: <IMG SRC="domain.com/?id=xxxx">.

Is there any other/better solutions for this?

Send the header "Content-type: image/gif\n\n", after that just do a readfile() command on existing 1x1 gif file.
