path format

hello all

i have following problem.

windows 2000 server
PHP 4.0.3pl1
apache 1.3

I need to copy a file using

copy($contentfile, $contentfile . ".bak");

$contentfile contains...

"d:/www/client/cms/contents/StartseiteBlock_01.html"

now i get a "Permission denied" error.

strange is, that i have the correct rights. problem with path-format maybe ??

any ideas ?

Well, Windows uses \ rather than /, but the error message does make the problem sound more like one of inadequate permissions... that directory needs to be writable to by the server (whatever account it's running under).

yes you're right because of the "\".

but even if i use the backslashes it doesn't work and i have all relevant rights. writing into a file or directory using ftp doesn't make any troubles.
