recognizing image

hi,

i need to recognize the type, size and colormodel (CMYK or RGP) of an uploaded image.
Any ideas how to manage that ?
i played around a bit with identify of the
Imagemagic pkg but i wasn't able to determine
the colormodel.

I would be grateful for some creative suggestions 😉

Type and size are relatively simple as they are carried as part of the array assigned to the uploaded file.

As for colour modes, what formats of image are you allowing to be uploaded, since only the JPG format (of the web ones) can be CMYK.

Anyway, a very quick search around the IM site yielded the QUANTIZE function, but I can only find it in reference to PERLMAGICK

eps are also allowed...

can only find it in reference to PERLMAGICK
like i do ...so this does not solves it. 😐
