outputting xml from mysql

i'm trying to output an xml file from a mysql database using php but the file i output is still a .php file. is there any way to output a .xml file.

i have also tried to create a situation where the .php file is save3d a a .xml file, but not the xml file but the php file which generates the xml is saved.

has anybody any idea how to resolve my problem??

Hi

Maybe you should generate an temporarly xml file an store it then somewhere on the webserver.....! After it is stored you have to define in your PHP Script an automaticly forward to this file.

I hope you understood it.
