Problem with PhpMyadmin2.2.7 using Win2000Pro and Mysql 3.23.51

I have installed Mysql version 3.23.52 on my windows 200 proffessional System.
I want to use phpMyadmin 2.2.7 for access to the mysql database.
However I get a blank screen on my:
localhost/Phpmyadmin-2.2.7/
The blank screen has emtpy html as source code!

Whats my problem????

if you enter the username in a field above where it's supposed to be, you wil get that:

use this for your settings and just replace USERNAME PASSWORD and DATABASE_NAME with your info.. the fields that are blank above that area should be kept blank.

I already tried this, exactly the way you describe, however I still get a blank screen with no source!

ooh sorry,

i had that exact problem on my win2k servers at work, and it was my configuration in the phpmyadmin scripts. if your queries work from php otherwise, then it is something in your phpmyadmin config file.. otherwise i have no clue.

Just a few things you may need to check

Does your php web pages display okay? (iis running okay)
Have you created a php file with phpinfo(); in it?
Is this reporting that mysql is running okay?

Have you installed phpmyadmin under the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot directory?
Have you installed the .php3 or .php version?
Can you view the page http://localhost/Phpmyadmin-2.2.7/Documentation.html ?
I always change the install directory name to PhpMyAdmin, it's easier to type and remember.
Have you changed the config.inc.php to include the full path of the install directory?
$cfgPmaAbsoluteUri = 'http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/';

P.s. If you get is solved post a reply incase anyone else gets this problem.

Everything you mentioned is OK!
The problem is the connection to the localhost.
The include file /libraries/common.lib.php tries to connect to the database usiong the data from config.inc.php
However this results in a long wait for a blank page as a result.

this allows me to use multiple databases.

Have you created a new database under mysql.
How are you running mysql, winmysqladmin.exe, with the traffic lights icon. (is it green - running?)
I am using the mysqld-max module.
