IIS and fopen

Whenever I use the fopen function I get permission denied errors, and was wondering what I have set wrong. I'm under the impression it is an NTFS thing, I'm using Windows XP, and any help would be appreciated.

As far as I know, you cannot access Network drives with PHP running on Microsoft's IIS. Even if the server is able to recognize the drives, PHP can't access them (or I haven't found a way) Why? I have no clue. I haven't figured out a way either. Some other people also reported the same thing on other sites. I upgraded to the latest version and yet no luck.

It isn't trying to access a network drive, just a file on the computer, which is on the os drive. It just doesn't appear to have permission to do so.

I hope i understood your question, so :

I'm working whith NT and IIS
I always access network files and do it like this :

$fic = "D:/The_Absolute_Path/My_file.txt";
$fd = fopen ($fic,"r");
rewind ($fd);

while (!feof($fd)) {

/* ... */

}

You have to know that the letter "D" is the one who is declared on the NT Server who supporte IIS and not the one
of the shared folder you use.
