Over-riding Windows SELECT styles

I was curious if anyone has discovered a way to over-ride the new Windows XP SELECT style (for pulldowns, etc). If you don't have XP the effect is that you can still control the font and background color in the stylesheet, but there is still a user-controled border color around the box and arrow. Depending on what color scheme the user selects you could have some real contrasting effects here. 🙂

On the plus side the pulldown box itself is much more Mac-like.

Yeah, you have to change the appearance of windows back to the "Classic" one. Right click on the desktop and go to properties.

Then click on the "Appearance" tab at the top and change the "Windows and buttons" from "Windows XP style" to "Windows Classic Style".

This is the only way to get the style back to the old way.
