graphical tree structure

Hi, I have made a simple forum a while ago, but I never found out how to actually make a tree-structure. I made it in the database (with parents and childeren), and it workst perfectly, but I don't know how to DISPLAY it!
Right now, it's like this:

message
. >reply 1
. . >reply 2
. . . >reply 3
. . . . >reply 4
. . >reply on reply 2
new message
. >reply 1
etc.

But, this doesn't LOOK that good! :rolleyes:
Does somebody know HOW I can change these ". . >" into a nice clean tree structure?!? 😕

Thanks, but I played around a bit with images and fixed row heights. So I'm already a lot further.
