problem with mcrypt

I found all the necessary librairies for using mcrypt on php (libmcrypt.dll and php_mcrypt.dll) and in php.ini i put the extension php_mcrypt.dll. Now it's seem to work when I launch php and apache but i have another problem...

I want to use mcrypt_cbc function, it doesn't work and the error message was (before installing the librairy) : Call to undefined function: mcrypt_cbc() in temp.php on line 6.
And after the installation the error is : Warning: mcrypt module initialization failed in temp.php on line 6

Damn! All is installed and there is still errors 🙁 But i think i found the cause of this. I saw that mcrypt.algorithms_dir and mcrypt.modes_dir haven't got value in phpinfo();(http://aokworld.free.fr/perso/mcrypt.jpg) but i don't know how to change it. Someone can helps me ?

Hey,

I couldn't even get that far! I got libmcrypt.dll php_mcrypt.dll, and the algorithm dlls.

I installed the dlls in c:\windows\system32\dlls and php.ini in c:\windows\system32. My extension dir is ./dlls

Is there anything wrong with that? Because I get "unable to load ./dlls/php_mcrypt.dll procedure" or something like that.

How did you install?

it's strange, i dont use the same directories as you. My php.ini is in C:\Windows, libmcrypt.dll in c:\Windows\System32.
It's probably because I use a program, EasyPHP (www.easyphp.org), which install all you need for running php : php (of course lol), Apache, Mysql and a few libraries (with php_mcrypt.dll).

For my problem, the error message is : mcrypt module initialization failed in temp.php in line 6...
