Combinging three fields in a form?

Greetings,

I have three fields in a form and need to stitch them together for the insert...

dobyear
dobmonth
dobday

Via pop up menus....

i am guessing it should be something like...

$dob= date("'dobyear':'dobmonth':'dobday'");

$sql = "insert into TABLE (dob ) values ('$dob' '$dobyear', '$dobyear', '$dobyear')";

any help is greatly appreciated.

if you are using a date field in mysql, it likes to see the format yyyy-mm-dd

so you could do:

$dob = $dobyear . "-" . $dobmonth . "-" . $dobday;

$result=mysql_query("insert into table set dob='$dob'");

this is assuming you have a field in your db named "dob".
