MySQL mysql_install_db file

Ok I have MySQL v 3.23.51 and Im still getting the same msg 'MySQL.host could not be found', does anyone have the file mysql_install_db. I was told that file was what I needed to get this sorted, if you have it or know where to get it could you please help me out !

Read the README or INSTALL files for post installation instructions, that should tell you where the file is. Did you install a binary or from source? If it's from source, look for it under the scripts directory under the directory you unpacked the source code into.
