PHP, Win2k, and Apache 1.3.x

Sorry for the ignorance, but i'm EXTREAMLY new with PHP. I've installed the package and read through the install document to setup Apache for PHP. There is a line that states: Copy the following lines into your Apache config file

LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache.dll

This is great, but the install did not put a sapi directory there, nor is there ANY trace of php4apache.dll.

Do I need to download this file from somewhere?

Instead of downloading the windows install file, try downloading the binaries (this has already been compiled so u dont need anything like VC++). All the files that you will need are in there

Definitely use the zip file from PHP, instead of the install nonsense. It seems to be much better and when it comes time to upgrade you can simply remove the directory and copy over the new stuff.

Yeah, after I downloaded the binaries and extracted them, there was a BOATLOAD of extra stuff. Also considering that (from what I can see) the autoinstall only configures the server for you; and since this can be done by reading the install docs it only makes sense. Also, the install didn't configure my Apache server so I had to do it manually anyway.
