I've gathered some trace resources that allude to the possiblity of creating a simple telnet client using Flash as the UI and PHP to open a socket and parse data between the UI and the server. In an effort to create a solution for my QA department and to prove to my Development department that PHP, Flash/Actionscript and their sister technologies are powerful cutting-edge tools for our products, I would like to know if the following is an application possibility:
Create a Flash UI with a simple server command input text box and a server output dynamic text box, managed by PHP where my qa department can tail server activity. Any support received would be returned in the form of open source posting of my code and a link to my portfolio site when both projects are complete. Thanks so much.
