Cannot Get .php extension to work, but .php4 will work

PHP appears to be working normal for me. Except I need to use .php4 as my script extension. I added .php4 manually through regedit. PHP will execute scripts with the .php4 extension, but not the .php extension.

Anyone have any idea why this is? As best I know all relevant .dll's are in the proper directories.

It depends on httpd.conf definitions of your apache

LoadModule php4_module c:/web/php/sapi/php4apache.dll
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php3
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php4

I should have noted that I am running on Win 98 SE with MS PWS. PHP V4.2.2.

How do you configure PWS to accept .php extensions? A script with a .php extension simple displays the text, .php4 extension scripts execute fine.
