Is is possible to do the following scenario ...

I have a site that gives me unlimited e-mail boxes. I would like for people to be able to sign up through my site for one of my hosted mailboxes.

The only scenario I've come up with is to have then mail me a request for the box to be set up and I have to manually log-in to my control panel to achieve this.

However, I have discovered that I can create a URL with their user/pass of their choice...

http://www.domain.com/mailManager?exUser=test&exPasswd=dragon12&exPasswd2=dragon12&exSubmit=add

The above example is not exact .. but follows the guidelines.

Is there anyway I can do this in the background and once completed, forward the browser to another page.

Or am I stuck with having them to request an e-mail address and then me manually typing it in.

Is the recipient script a cgi, perl or php script?

Could you not create a form and simply mark the action as being that of your mailmanager script, using POST (unless the recipient script is expecting GET.

Look at the mailmanager script itself to see how it handles these variables once received and see if it isn't possible to format your own form to pass those varaiables outside of the address bar where it is open to prying eyes.

The only problem is, the Mail Manager is behind secure access. I am not sure how it is authenticated. It requests a username & password everytime you log in in a new browser instance. Is there a way around this?

As far as I can tell the MailManager program excepts the values through a form. I am going to format my own form and see how it turns out -- however -- once the e-mail address is added - my host gives it's own success page -- I do not want users to be able to access my control panel / therefore - is there a way that PHP can send a request to the server with the correct information inside the correct variables and upon succession send the browser to the page of my choosing ??

Okay -- I formatted my own form with the same values as the control panel's mail manager form !! when i submitted - it prompted me for a username and password - my control panel's hosting username/password -- is there a way around this??

Unfortunately, I don't think you're gonna find a way round it because (AFAIK) you cannot traverse a password protected directory.

Is the mailmanager script within your own hosting space or is it held on somebody elses space? If it is something you installed, you might be able to get into the script and set up your own form to query and update the database without the mailmanager script being invoked, thus removing the need for it to access the pw protected area.
Just a thought :-)
