The correct answer (sorry guys π) is to check if the magic_quotes_runtime directive is set.
You can do this by using the function get_magic_quotes_runtime
when this option is on
You can then either turn it off with set_magic_quotes_runtime () function, or turn it of in your php.ini
at last you could use stripslashes, but this has the least favor, since that works out the symptom of the problem, not the cause, if you get what i mean π
when this option is yet off
Try checking the get_magic_quotes_gpc () directive, if you're using any kind of get, post, cookie, etc... if this is turned on, you have no choice but either turning it off in your php.ini, or using stripslashes.
Try avoiding stripslashes, though, it might strip more slashes than you would like π
