Sendmail

ok here's my problem.

I am runing win2k with apache 1.3.6 - i have perl installed and php and all work fine so i thought i would install sendmail so i opened up a dos prompt engaged ppm and installed sendmail the files downloaded i located the sendmail prog typed in the php ini and perl scripts where it was -

IE -- C:/perl/site/lib/mail/sendmail

but nothing happens at all i just get a nice message saying the mail has been sent, but i recive nothing.

any help would be recived greatfully as i am stating to pull my hair out now.

hemm i never use sendmail on windows... try using blat
or if not u modify the php.ini file to point the smtp to the smtp server that you are using for sending mail...

Why have you installed Sendmail on windows - unless you are using "Sendmail for Windows" software this wont work. Normally you run your own Windows mailserver on localhost and point SMTP to localhost or you point SMTP to your ISP mail account and use the mailfrom address of that account.
