Undefined index

hi guys it my first post 😃

im a n00b at php so go easy on me, although i am a master at Flash ActionScript 🙂

ok, im using $_GET["variable"] in a script and thats fine, but what if the script canot find the variable? it gives out

Notice: Undefined index: variable in wherever...

is there a way to get around this?? like:

if ($_GET["variable"] == undefined){
do not spit out anoying warning messages,Thankyou.
}

Try this one:

if (isset($GET["ready"])) {
echo $GET["ready"];
} else {
echo "\$_GET[\"ready\"] is not set";
}

thank you. Ive never heard of isset() before, looks much like Flash's undefined.
