Offline PHP

Help!

I am new to PHP and do not have much free time for the internet at the moment.

Later I hope to create a 'forum-ish' site in PHP but I need practice.

Because of this I need an offline server or somehow I can test code offline in Windows 98 OS.

Any suggestion would be appreciated...

Try using Apache for the webserver. Although they do say its more secure when run on NTFS (ie NT, 2K, XP), it WILL run on 9x/ME as well

Yep,

Download the latest Win binary of Apache along with PHP and MYSQL if you are going to have database functionality - if you are stuck you can take a look at the tutorials on my site (not an advertisement honest) :p

It should be up and running now - try to ctrl+refresh in case ur browser hasnt cleared its cache. Let me know if u have any more problems, the site was up and down for maintenance yesterday.
