Hello,

I am completely new to PHP. I have no experience in PHP what so ever. I have only one interest in PHP and that is that I have been told that PHP can cooperate with Filemaker.
When you have a webbased filemaker databased, you cannot download or upload file (word, pdf, ...) attached to a database.
If you wanna do such a thing you should accomplish this using ASP, Webstar or other web server programs.
Now recently with Mac OSX PHP should also be able to accomplish this goal.

Is there anyone who can tell me how to do this.

What script do I use?
Where to put it?

Hope someone can give me some tips,

I hate to say it, but the only tip I have is to leave filemaker behind you and move forward. I am also a mac developer who had been wasting away dealing with webstar and all the other junk mac 'web' programs. Get to os x and use apache, mysql, and php. It's going to suck for awhile, but you'll be glad you did it.

There is a website that will help you with your os x client webserver issues. If your new to unix/bsd it will help you get apache, mysql, and php running. The version of php that comes with os x is not complete, you'll want to upgrade it.

Check out www.fmwebschool.com there is a PHP class written for FileMaker called FX.php. You can download the PHP class at:FX.php 3.0 There are also 2 books teaching you how to integrate PHP with FileMaker Pro. FX.php works with FileMaker 5-7.

What you call BS my friend shows how little you actually know about PHP and the FileMaker community. Over 15 thousand people use FX.php, and FileMaker is used by over 10 million people. So, if someone is searching this forum, as I see many have...and would like to integrate FileMaker with PHP now they can. Perhaps before responding with mayhem and bigotry one should suppose that my so called "commercial" would be helpful to someone. Have a great morning and perhaps try to get more rest and try decaf.

You're right, bad morning. I'm sorry. Anyway, my point is this. I feel, and could be way wrong, that if someone else would have recommended your product as a solution that would have been a different story. Seeing as you work for the company, it's like Adobe going to a graphic design forum and telling everyone they should buy Photoshop to cure their illness. It's just not the right place for it.

I know Filemaker is used by alot of people, I've used it, but not for web.
