HTML for php used charachters

Is there a place that lists the html equivalents of the charachters used by php? such as " ' ; : etc and brackets, as in forms, people put in these charachters, and they screw up the script...

is there a function which will automatically change all charachters to html?

You may be interested with functions
htmlspecialchars(),
htmlentities(),
get_html_translation_table()
and maybe
strip_tags().
