phpMyAdmin problem (2)

Hi,
I have just started with PHP-MySQL coding and I'm doing quite well, I think. I'm runnning it locally on win98 with an apache-server, however, I'd like to learn how to use phpMyAdmin before I proceed to web-hosting. I have a version 2.3.0. of phpMyAdmin but can't fihure out how to configure it to work locally, so I'm stuck with a dos-prompt when handling MySQL alone....
help needed!

Look for this file: config.inc.php and open iet in your PHP/HTML editor.

Then, scroll down till u find these vars:

Fill in the necessary info, upload the file, and ur ready to go.

Actually, I already did that part according to the configuration.doc that comes with phpAdmin - still, something must be missing.
If I try to load http://localhost/index.php or http://localhost/main.php nothing happens - no errors, just blank!

Maybe try http://localhost/phpmyadmin/
And make sure phpmyadmin is a directory under your web directory.
Also please tell me you aren't thinking of web-hosting on a win98 machine.

That did the trick...
and no! I'm not planning on doing any web-hosting on my win98 config!!! I'm only testing/learning to use PHP with MySQL on my own machinery before anything else.
