Problem with UPDATE and TIMESTAMP

I'm working on a newser and I need to edit the news 10 per page, and usually I do an UPDATE with the same values.

In the table there is a TIMESTAMP column, and I need that if the update don't change any value, the column is not updated... but also if the update set all columns to same value, the TIMESTAMP column is updated...

How can I do?

U could try using datetime instead of timestamp and send the current time with ur update statement so it'll be forced to update the time.
