So far I am loving it. It is going to take me sometime to make the complete switch... in fact I had to write something today in VBScript, because I do not know enough to do it the way I would like.
The ease of it has been awesome, years ago I was thrown into a situation where I had to learn to write ASP pages with notepad only and a book.... I still write that way to this day. I do not say this to brag, I mention it only because a lot of people I know have used InterDev and with all of the helpers built into the program... It can be easy to forget things and rely on the program too much, so I am coming from a background where I always did it the long way.
It has been to my advantage, learning PHP .... I really don't have the words to explain how much I love it or to really finish what it is I wanted to say... ASP does its job and it does it well...but I am really loving all of the added functionality of PHP... there is so much more this can do. My mind has been racing a million miles an hour and I am finding I am having to write all of my ideas down on paper.... I can compose some truly useful programs in PHP for my users at my company. We have had some ideas we could never do before in ASP... but with PHP...I can indeed do this.
