Access 2k ... Update Queries

Dunno if this is the right site for this, but I'm asking everywhere cause I'm tired of looking through tutorials and not finding answers. I searched Google for "Access 2000 Update Queries" and it took me here so I'm hoping this is a valid question for a PHP board.

I have a database that records the events attended per certain people. I have an update query that I would like to check an "Active" yes/no box depending on the last event attended. I would like People that have attended an event within the past 30 days to be checked active.

My question is how do I get access to make the update based on the Date of the last event? Currently I'm using the >30 and it marks anyone who has EVER attended an Event as Active.

First off this isn't the right place for an Access question, it might have been better if you'd posted it in the Database section even though it's not related to PHP.

Anyway without seeing your table structure I can only guess at what will work for you but here goes.

UPDATE people
SET active = true
WHERE last_event_date BETWEEN (now() - 30) AND now().

This syntax probably isn't right for Access, and most definately isn't right for you table but that's basically what you want to do. You'll probably also want to set all people to not active where thier last_event_data is > 30 ago.
