Sorry folks for this question, it's not related to PHP but I know someone here knows the answer so I'm asking it here.
My problem is this, I have a client who is so sensitive about server logs, they want to know how many times a file has been downloaded. I have a file named sunad1.swf embedded in a html and every time the page is viewed the server registers the transaction as follows,
203.167.26.23 - - [22/Aug/2002:17:12:24 -0700] "GET /Ad/sunad1.swf?param=659292175 HTTP/1.1" 200 48076 "-" "contype"
203.167.26.23 - - [22/Aug/2002:17:12:25 -0700] "GET /Ad/sunad1.swf?param=659292175 HTTP/1.1" 206 48076 "-" "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; Win 9x 4.90; Q312461)"
My question is why the heck does the server log the file twice when others, even of the same file type, are only registered once?
