Disable php filesystem or lock user in his folder

Hello.

Im running Apache on Win2k with the latest PHP bulid.

On my server im webhosting a couple of users.

At the moment, i have disabled php for my users, because i don't know how to lock the user to only his folder.

If i allow php, the user can easily access all files on my computer with the filesystems functions in php, and i don't want that.

I want to either disable filesystem for only sertain folders in htdocs like htdocs/user1, OR, mabye the easiest, lock the user to his dir so he can ONLY access files in his folder, from php.

Hope someone can help me.

How does webhotels that has support for php manage this?

I rely need to give my users php support without give them access to my filesystem.

Don't know how to do it with php,

but you can set some restrictions in w2k I think. I'm used to working on NT machines and since w2k is the newer NT version it should be possible to set permissions to users that aren't accessing your computer locally ...
