Php newbie seeking help configuring my web server to send and receive mail from my board. This is a w2k server that I'm hosting inhouse that has phphome w/apache, mysql, and php. This server is www.nubiint.com. I also have a mail server inhouse at mail.nubiint.com.
Currently if a user attempts to register they get the following error:
Warning: Failed to connect to mailserver, verify your "SMTP settings in php.ini in C:\Program Files\php Home Edition 2\www\forums\register.php on line 517".
I've made the following modification to my php.ini file:
[mail function]
SMTP= mail.nubiint.com ; for Win32 only
sendmail_from= webkeeper@nubiint.com ; for Win32 only
;sendmail_path=;for unix only, may supply arguments as well (default is 'sendmail -t -i')
I now need to know what to do to get the web server configured to send mail, or is it the web server? Not sure.
Any response is appreciated...
