problem with exec,system...

Why does not this work:
$doit = exec("convert -geometry 25% -quality 60 big.jpg thumb.jpg");

$doit = system("convert -geometry 25% -quality 60 big.jpg thumb.jpg");

Imagemagick is installed and I can call the program from the terminal, but in my php page nothing happens - no errors either.

Any ideas?

I haven'tr used image magick just the gd library but do you need to echo $doit?

no, to echo does not help.

I could not use convert as is i had to write out were the program is, here is my whole code:

I am having the same probs using resize.

Yap - it do work.
Find out where resize is (whereis resize), and maybee that will work.
