I've designed an information site for my company using php sessions to authenticate a user and track them through the site. We went live last week and lo and behold we've come across a problem we can't figure out.
Once the user logs on, the system checks thier username and pword in the db and assuming everything is OK registers a session for them using thier username and allows them access. From the live server, which apart from being on a unix machine rather than a windows one is the same as the machine the site was developed on, will not hold the session id. As such the users keep getting kicked out if they try to do anything!
I'm using php4 on Apache/1.3.6 on a sun server. The system admin guy thinks it might be a squid problem but we've searched and can't find the answer.😕
Any ideas???
