I'm looking for a simple script that opens a link when the php script is executed.

I know it's simple but I can't recall it.

Can anyone help me.

what do you mean by "open a link"? specifically, what do you want to have happen when this PHP script runs?

Your code does not put anything to a browser.
And after it is executed you want to put some page for the user?

if so do this:

header("Location http://dummies.com/newpage.html");

and (may be) add
exit();
for some reason

Well, let me be more specific.

I have a site that uses three frames. One on top of the page with the navigation, and one under that one with the main contents. Below there is another small frame that has an important news item. This frame keeps the same on every page (be it links, news, contact,...).

Now my problem: Suppose you're in the LINKS page of the website. The navigation frame (top of page) graphically shows you're in the LINKS page. The newsitem below has a link to the newspage in the middle frame. So if you click the link in the fame below, it opens the news page in the middle frame. Problem is that the navigation frame (on top) still graphically shows you're in the LINKS page though you're in the NEWS page now!

So I want the 'navigation frame' to change to NEWS, as soon as the news middle frame is opened.

write a javascript like

window.top.navigation.href = 'navigation_for_news.html';

or whatever you need.
