PHP + Graphs

I need to prepare a fairly extensive set to graphs and charts
with my dataset.

The question i have is -
1. How good/easy is it to make graphs/charts with PHP

2. Is it a good idea to retrieve data with PHP and then
   use something like Java Applets to make a graph? Is that
   a fesiable option?

3. What about coldfusion?....can that be used with PHP
   to create Graphs/Charts?

Any comments/suggestions?

Im not completely sure how you'd go about it since I havent had much experience with it, but you could look into using the GD libraries to create the picture of the graph.

I've recently installed jpGraph 1.7.

It's a library that uses php's GD.
