File Question

Is there a way to check if image data from a database is broken or not? So that I can prevent the user from seeing a broken image if the image file is messed up?

Try:

$size = getimagesize($the_picture);

if($size == false)
{
print"ooops - something's wrong";
}

But wouldnt that still work if there was a broken image file?

My first advice would be too when someone suggest something, try it instead of expecting them to investigate it for you. (Sorry, bad day).

Ok, I was curious myself so I corrupted an image and ran getimagesize on it. The result was null.

So kusarigama's suggestion will work.
