Driven up the wall for two weeks, I just can't make PHP to play with MySQL, and it always shows this nasty message. I'm using RedHat 7.3, MySQL 3.2xx and all kinds of PHP4 (rpms, tar.gz, etc). I've followed every advice on the net, but to no avail. Does anyone out there have the final answer? No way for you to know how desperate I am.
