Stupid ^M character....

I have a project that I am working on. I get a tab delimited flat data source that I need to put in to a mysql db. I have everything written to put it in to the db. The problem that I am running in to is skewd data because of the stupid ^M character. I have tried everything I can think of to remove it but it keeps slipping thru all my replace routines. Anyone have an idea of how I can replace it get rid of it anything?????

^M is a carriage return

hex is 0D, num is 13

For future reference: the fact that M is the thirteenth letter of the alphabet is not a coincidence...

Very true - count the number of keys from A to the return key.. A=1 and Return=13...
It also works from Q to Return....

(Instant trivia... what a great thing...)
