strip all html from a string?

Greetings All!

Is there a php function that will take a string and strip all HTML characters from it?

I'm hunting php.net and can't find anything. I could have sworn there was such a function.

Forget I said anything.

I had meant to say "tags"... and when I thought about this for a second, I was then able to find "strip_tags" at PHP.net.
