Is there any reason mail() will not work with 3rd level domain email addresses? For example: example@test.com works everytime, but example@carolina.rr.com never works. I am using a linux host with apache and PHP 4.
At what point does it not work?
My host has a similar network and I've had no problems.
To answer the previous post, the mail finally made it. I am confused as to the delay, but that would not be a PHP question. Mail to scott_nospan@blevins.info arrived in 2 seconds. Mail to jblevins2_nospan@carolina.rr.com took over 10 minutes. The funny thing is mail to the .info address is forwarded by a third party service to the rr account. It makes no sense why it would take longer for a direct email vs one forwarded from another service since both originated from the same server. But I don't think PHP could control this so I am considering the issue resolved. Thanks for the immediate reply. I appreciate the help.
